The Challenge
The existing laundry was outdated, inefficient, and poorly laid out, with limited storage and no consideration for modern household needs. The space needed to accommodate essential services such as the NBN modem, vacuum cleaner, and a robotic vacuum dock, while still allowing room for a washing machine in a tight footprint. Achieving a clean, functional finish without overcrowding the room was the key challenge.
The Solution
Nestovate completely reimagined the laundry with a custom-designed layout tailored to the client’s daily routines. New hybrid flooring was installed to enhance durability and visual appeal. Custom white Polytec cabinetry with black handles was introduced, including tall cabinets to discreetly house the NBN modem, vacuum cleaner, and integrated robo-vac dock at the base.
A white stone benchtop paired with Kit-Kat Sky Matt splashback tiles created a refined yet practical work surface. We carefully designed a bespoke recess for the washing machine to ensure a seamless fit within the limited space. New power points were installed for the NBN modem, vacuum, and robotic vacuum, alongside a new sink and tapware with neatly concealed plumbing for a polished finish. Overhead cabinets were complemented by open shelving near the window, providing easy access to frequently used items while maintaining a light, open feel.
The Outcome
The result is a modern, highly functional laundry that balances smart storage with clean design. Every element from the custom cabinetry to the tailored appliance layout works together to maximise space and usability. What was once an inefficient room is now a streamlined, well-organised laundry that supports everyday living while aligning perfectly with the home’s overall aesthetic.
