Functional Layout Upgrade with Premium Finishes
Nestovate recently completed a detailed kitchen renovation, transforming an ageing kitchen into a refined and highly functional modern cooking space. The project focused on improving the kitchen layout, upgrading cabinetry and finishes, and integrating smarter storage solutions while enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.
The client wanted a cleaner, contemporary look with improved workflow, premium stone surfaces, and practical storage features that would make everyday cooking and entertaining easier.
The Challenge
The existing kitchen had an outdated layout that restricted functionality. One of the key limitations was the position of the gas cooktop, which was poorly placed for efficient cooking and workflow.
Additionally, the old laminate benchtop and dated cabinetry did not match the modern style the client wanted. Storage options were limited and inefficient, and the kitchen lacked dedicated areas for appliances such as a coffee station.
To achieve the desired outcome, the cooktop location needed to be repositioned, requiring new gas plumbing works along with electrical upgrades.
The Solution
Nestovate redesigned the kitchen layout to improve workflow and maximise storage while delivering a contemporary design aesthetic.
The gas cooktop was relocated to a more practical position along the main wall, requiring new plumbing works to safely reroute the gas line in accordance with modern standards.
The old laminate benchtop was removed and replaced with a premium stone benchtop featuring a striking waterfall edge, creating a statement focal point while providing a durable and luxurious workspace.
Custom cabinetry was installed in a sophisticated Topiary Green finish, delivering a modern yet warm aesthetic. The appliance layout was carefully integrated with a 600mm rangehood, 600mm gas cooktop, and a 600mm oven, with the oven positioned within a stacked cabinet configuration and a microwave cabinet provided above it for convenient access.
Additional cabinetry was created beside the refrigerator to maximise storage and create a seamless built-in look.
The Outcome
The finished kitchen is a sophisticated blend of modern design and practical functionality. The waterfall stone bench forms a striking centrepiece, while the Topiary Green cabinetry and black hardware create a timeless contemporary look.
With improved appliance positioning, new gas plumbing, enhanced electrical provisions, and thoughtfully designed storage solutions, the kitchen now offers a highly efficient workspace tailored to the client's lifestyle.
The addition of the dedicated coffee station, pendant lighting, and integrated storage features ensures the kitchen is not only visually impressive but also exceptionally practical for everyday use.
