Modern Kitchen Renewal & Bright Contemporary Design

Modern Kitchen Transformation for Instant Impact

Nestovate completed a full kitchen upgrade for the Sherin Street property, turning a severely outdated, dark cooking space into a bright, clean, and modern kitchen-dining zone. The renovation focused on repainting old brickwork, installing new cabinetry, replacing worn flooring, improving natural light, and creating a functional layout that feels open and inviting. The result is a completely refreshed, contemporary kitchen that dramatically improves daily usability and aesthetic appeal.

The Challenge

The original kitchen was in extremely poor condition. The old green brick walls were stained and visually heavy, the cabinetry was worn and outdated, and the mismatched shelving created a cluttered, chaotic environment. The vinyl flooring was damaged and discoloured, and the lace curtains restricted natural light. The overall layout felt cramped, dark, and impractical. The client needed a transformation that would brighten the space, remove the dated elements, and deliver a clean, functional kitchen that aligns with modern living.

The Solution

Nestovate redesigned and upgraded the entire kitchen and dining nook using a strategic combination of new cabinetry, fresh finishes, and improved layout planning.

Brickwork Repaint

The original green brick walls were fully cleaned, repaired, and repainted in crisp white to remove years of discoloration and instantly brighten the space.

New Cabinetry Installation

Old, worn cabinets were replaced with clean white cabinetry featuring soft-close hinges, modern lines, and a minimalist profile. The cabinetry layout was streamlined to maximise storage and improve workflow.

Benchtops & Splashback Refresh

Fresh white benchtops were installed to give the kitchen a sleek, modern appearance. The splashback was updated to a cleaner, more polished finish that ties the look together.

Dining Nook Reconfiguration

The cluttered shelving and makeshift storage were removed entirely, creating space for a compact dining setup. Light décor and framed artwork were added to define the area and enhance functionality

Window & Lighting Improvement

Heavy lace curtains were replaced with soft sheer curtains that increase daylight flow while maintaining privacy. A new ceiling light fitting completed the bright, refreshed look

Hybrid Flooring Installation

The outdated vinyl flooring was replaced with hybrid timber flooring, adding warmth, durability, and visual continuity throughout the kitchen and dining space.

The Outcome

The transformation is remarkable. What was once a dark, cluttered, and outdated kitchen has been completely reborn as a fresh, bright, and contemporary cooking and dining area. The clean white finishes, improved layout, modern cabinetry, and new flooring create a space that feels open, stylish, and highly functional. Thanks to these upgrades, the Sherin Street kitchen now provides comfort, efficiency, and modern appeal—perfectly suited for everyday living.
