A Kitchen Tailored for Modern Living
Modern Updates and Universal Design
Nestovate recently transformed a dated kitchen into a sleek, functional, and fully integrated space. The comprehensive project included a full demolition, new cabinetry and appliances, a complete flooring replacement, and a fresh coat of paint, all tailored to the client's specific culinary and aesthetic needs.
The Challenge
The client was living with a kitchen that was no longer efficient or reflective of their modern taste. She desired a complete aesthetic and functional overhaul. Her vision included a sink deep enough for her large wok, ample storage for an extensive collection of cooking oils, a dedicated space for spices, and smart storage for large pots. Furthermore, the dated tile flooring and poor lighting detracted from the home's potential, requiring a cohesive solution that would tie the entire room together into a bright, contemporary space.
The Solution
Nestovate’s design-first approach made all the difference. Our team designed the new kitchen layout and presented it to the client as a detailed 3D model, allowing her to visualise the final result with confidence.
We began with a full demolition, removing the old cabinets and tile flooring. We then installed new 7mm Hybrid Flooring in a Natural Oak Grey shade, creating a modern, durable base for the room. The crisp white Polytech cabinets were accentuated with contrasting black handles, perfectly complementing the new white splashback tiles.
Functionality was paramount: we included a dedicated pull-out spice cabinet, clever corner cabinets for large pots, a deep single-bowl sink for her wok, and custom deep drawers for her cooking oils. The transformation was completed with a full repaint, the installation of new modern downlights to brighten the space, and the final touches of matching black tapware and convenient USB-C power points over the benchtop.
