Nestovate completed a refined bathroom renovation in Mt Waverley, transforming an outdated space at Lawrence Road into a modern, functional, and visually balanced bathroom. This custom bathroom renovation focused on improving layout, upgrading fixtures, and introducing premium finishes to enhance everyday comfort while adding long term value to the home.


The Challenge

The existing bathroom was dated and no longer suited the needs of the household. A bulky jacuzzi occupied valuable space, while ageing fixtures, limited storage, and poor lighting reduced both functionality and comfort. The client wanted a contemporary bathroom renovation in Mt Waverley that felt spacious, calm, and luxurious, while remaining practical for daily use


The Solution

 Nestovate delivered a full bathroom renovation with a custom design tailored specifically to the space. The outdated jacuzzi was removed and replaced with a generous walk in shower measuring 900 by 2100 millimetres, creating a more open and accessible layout. A channel drain with tile insert was installed for a clean finish, along with a recessed niche sized 450 by 500 millimetres for everyday convenience.


A wall mounted double vanity with warm timber finishes was introduced to improve storage and visual balance without overwhelming the room. A feature wall using subway tiles sized 300 by 600 millimetres added texture and depth, while an oval LED mirror with backlighting enhanced ambient lighting.


Wall and floor finishes were completed using 600 by 600 millimetre marble look porcelain tiles with soft grey veining, complemented by white porcelain tiles to maintain a bright and timeless aesthetic. Brushed nickel tapware was selected throughout the main bathroom, paired with a rimless tornado flush toilet with bidet seat for improved hygiene and efficiency. Upgraded electricals, new downlights, and a heated towel rail further enhanced comfort and usability.


The ensuite bathroom renovation was designed to complement the main space, featuring a floor standing vanity, a pill shaped mirror, chrome fittings, a rimless toilet with bidet seat, a heated towel rail, a recessed niche, a channel drain with tile insert, and new downlights to ensure a cohesive design across both bathrooms.

The original bathroom featured dated finishes and a confined layout, with wall tiles that stopped short of the ceiling, a bulky jacuzzi, a small 800×800 shower, and a double-sink vanity that limited space and flow, making the room feel cramped and visually heavy.  The renovation completely transformed the space with a redesigned layout and contemporary finishes, introducing a spacious 1850×1200 shower with a 10 mm frameless screen, a sleek tornado toilet, heated towel rail, and a 1200 mm floor-standing fluted oak vanity topped with stone and dual undermount basins. Full-height 600×600 Calacatta white gloss tiles brighten the room, while a sage green Kit Kat feature wall and pill-shaped LED mirror add texture, warmth, and a refined modern aesthetic.

The Family Bathroom Renovation


The redesigned bathroom now centres around a striking 1200 mm floor-standing fluted oak vanity topped with a stone benchtop and two undermount basins, paired with a sleek pill-shaped LED mirror and two new downlights positioned above to enhance both task lighting and ambience. A generous 1850×1200 frameless shower replaces the old enclosure, while full-height 600×600 Calacatta white gloss tiles and a sage green Kit Kat feature wall elevate the aesthetic. Completing the look, all bath fittings—including tapware, shower fixtures, accessories, heated towel rail, and tornado toilet accents—are finished in brushed nickel, tying the entire space together with a refined, cohesive finish 

Ensuite Renovation

The original ensuite featured a standard toilet, basic vanity, and wall tiles that didn’t extend to ceiling height, giving the space a dated and unfinished feel.  The renovation completely refreshed the room with full-height 600×600 Calacatta white gloss tiles that brighten and visually expand the space, creating a clean, seamless finish. A new tornado toilet with a bidet seat arrangement elevates comfort and hygiene, while a sleek 750 mm vanity paired with an oval mirror adds a refined focal point. Practical upgrades include a new HPM switch and exhaust for improved ventilation, along with a heated towel rail for everyday luxury—transforming the ensuite into a modern, polished, and highly functional space.

Ensuite Renovation

This ensuite renovation transformed an old, outdated bathroom into a calm and sophisticated retreat, with a strong focus on functionality, upgraded fixtures, and refined finishes. The layout was improved by reducing the shower step-in size for better accessibility, complemented by a sleek channel drain for a clean, modern finish. A frameless shower screen with a hinged door enhances openness, while all bath fittings are finished in chrome, giving the space a crisp, polished look. A custom recessed niche measuring 400×300 mm was built into the wall—perfectly sized to neatly store shampoo and toiletries—while a new shower rail and carefully selected details complete the contemporary, practical design.
